About

My research focuses on the biochemistry of protein-metal interactions.  Through this research we have studied the mechanism by which platinum group metals can be connected to proteins that lead to the formation of cell surface nanoparticles, and we aim to use this expertise to differentiate metal reduction by bacteria.

Key areas of expertise:

  • Extracellular electron transfer
  • Multiheme cytochromes and metalloenzymes.
