UKRI Engineering Biology Webinar Series – ELEMENTAL Mission Hub
On 4 July 2025, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) hosted a live webinar spotlighting the ELEMENTAL Mission Hub, as part of a series introducing the six UKRI-funded Engineering Biology Mission Hubs.
Led by the University of Kent, with partners including the Quadram Institute and University College London, the ELEMENTAL Hub is tackling challenges around metal waste, scarcity, and sustainable recovery using engineering biology approaches. Its aim: to contribute to a more circular, resource-resilient economy.
This session introduced the hub’s goals, current research, and ways to engage with the team, followed by a live Q&A with attendees from across academia, industry, and policy.
